The company, Kane Biotech Inc., is not responsible if such a reaction should occur as a result of using our product samples. If you develop a skin or other sensitivity to the product samples, you should stop using them immediately and consult a physician. Never use the product samples on broken skin and discontinue using if the product samples cause any adverse effects.
While we make every attempt to ensure that the labeling of any products supplied by the manufacturer accurately lists all the ingredients used, we rely on the representation and warranties made by the manufacturer. If you have any sensitivities or allergies to any listed ingredients or to any similar types of ingredients, you should discontinue use of these products immediately. You should test the product samples on a small area of skin, such as the inner wrist, before using for the first time. Informed Consent
Overview
You have been invited to participate in a consumer study to evaluate a new product developed by Kane Biotech Inc. (Winnipeg, Manitoba). This form contains information that will help you decide whether to join the study. Taking part in this study is voluntary. You do not have to participate and you can stop at any time. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well this new product effectively cleans the scalp to help support the reduction of skin irritation and other symptoms associated with common skin conditions. The product is applied topically to the scalp and contains GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) ingredients.
To ensure the integrity of our testing, it is your responsibility to inform the provider if you are presently on, just completed, or are scheduled to start another haircare study.
Study Participation
To be accepted into this study, you must be at least 18 years old and be willing to participate in the study plan described below. You will be excluded from this study if you have a known history of irritation or allergy to any of the ingredients used in the test product(s) or are pregnant or nursing. If you experience any adverse effects upon or after using the test product(s), discontinue use immediately.
You may qualify for this study if the following applies to you:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You are suffering from common skin conditions, such as: Atopic or Seborrheic Dermatitis, dandruff, or an undiagnosed skin condition on your scalp.
You are experiencing active symptoms of dermatitis or dandruff, such as: itchiness, irritated or dry skin, redness, or dry flakes from your scalp.
You are willing and able to complete all questionnaires required for this study.
Study Plan
Each subject must agree to the disclaimer and informed consent before qualifying for this study. After that, you will reconfirm your shipping address. Once this is completed, you will be mailed the test product(s). You will be asked to use the test product(s) at a maximum of once daily for 1 to 2 weeks. At the end of 1 to 2 weeks, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire, which will be sent via email and can be filled out online. You will also have the option to upload before and after photos of your scalp/affected skin area(s).

Records will be handled in a confidential manner and will be available only to authorized personnel as required to evaluate the test results and any government agency (i.e. Health Canada, U.S. Food & Drug Administration), which legally has access to such records.
